Canyonville Christian Academy’s students achieve great success in academics and athletics this spring semester!

Seminar Class does it again! Canyonville Christian Academy’s Mignonne Hirwa Mwiza from Rwanda wins the 2015 Spring Oregon Stock Market Game! Out the 26 times this private school has competed in the Oregon stock market games, it has now placed first 24 times! This statewide investment competition had more than 300 entries from high schools throughout Oregon. And not only did Canyonville Christian Academy’s students bring home first place, but entrants Grace Tuan from Taiwan and Luigi Van Mol from the U.S. also brought home second and third place! Awards will be presented to the winners at a Portland banquet in May.

CCA’s Track & Field captures five events at Oakridge, sets best times at Glide, and wins 4-way team competition at Riddle!

Oakridge Meet:

Gabriel Martin from Colombia won both sprints, 100m & 200m, at the eight-way conference meet at Oakridge. Other event victories include Sebastian Fajardo (Colombia) in the 800m, Samuel Kim (South Korea) in long jump, and Sasha Eck (Russia) in triple jump.

Glide:

At the invitational track meet at Glide, Canyonville Christian Academy’s distance runners, Calob Reimers (USA) and Diego Rubio (Mexico) recorded the best times in their events by any CCA runners in eight years! Calob ran the 800m in 2:14 and Diego ran the 15oom in 4:45.

Riddle:

Canyonville Christian Academy ‘s boys’ track team won six of the eight non-hurdle running events and took the first place team finish overall at the Riddle High School meet. The Pilots beat out Riddle in the team standings 177-162 with Days Creek and Glendale trailing.

In addition to dominating the boys’ running events, the Pilots also had wins in both the boys’ and girls’ long jump competition.
