Canyonville Christian Academy’s second semester has now begun! The students of this Christian boarding school have a lot of fun events and activities to look forward to this semester. February starts out with a bang as one of the biggest events in the United States takes place – the Super Bowl!
The Super Bowl is the annual championship game for the National Football League (NFL) in the United States. The teams playing this year are the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks (several of CCA’s faculty and staff’s favorite team). Professional football is the most popular sport in America. Canyonville Christian Academy’s international students will be able to experience this aspect of American culture by going to CCA’s Super Bowl party and watching the game in its amazing student center.
Canyonville Christian Academy’s basketball and cheerleading seasons continue this month with homecoming and senior night occurring mid-February. Homecoming is an exciting time at CCA. Spirit week takes place the week leading up to the homecoming game, which is on a Friday night. Many alumni also return to this private school at this time to watch the basketball game and cheer on their alma mater. It is a great time of celebration and school spirit which ends with a homecoming party on Saturday night.
