In week one of the new basketball season, the Canyonville Christian Academy boys team upended El Sobrante Christian of California by a 73-34 score.  The boys were led by Gabriel Martin with 18 points and the team hit nine three-point shots.

The girls got their first week win over the Glendale Pirates by a 34-15 margin.

Both teams also got a pair of losses but will be out to improve their season records at a Redding, California tournament on Dec. 11 and 12.
