First Snow Appears November 15th With Additional Snow in the Forecast

Although none landed on the valley floor, the first snow of the year could be seen on nearby Canyon Mountain on Nov. 15. The snow was only there for a day, and only at higher elevations, but it was a start.
As we start Thanksgiving week, weather updates say that freezing temperatures (17 degrees Fahrenheit or -8.33° Celsius) will be here all week and snow levels are predicted to descend down to 500ft. This might give us snow on the valley floor for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We can hope for enough on campus for some snowballs and snowmen as we continue to move into winter.
