Students Prepare to Take Part in the 30 Hour Famine

Christian boarding school, Canyonville Academy, students take part of 30 hour famine to help children.

Students from College Preparatory Canyonville Academy are planning on raising money via World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine to help change the lives of children in need.

This fundraising opportunity takes place this Friday (February 28, 2019) and ends Saturday evening. Students will gain a huge awareness about hunger in the world and how they can help.  While the students are part-taking in the 30 hour famine, they will also learn a lot about themselves.  The best part is learning more about God and raising money to help others in need. Please help our students by donating to this awesome cause and experience.

What is the 30 hour Famine?

What do you get when you combine a youth group retreat, thought provoking Bible studies, games, inspirational videos and more? You get an unforgettable day-and-a-half of God’s children going without food to help those that don’t have the option for food in the first place. An event like this is fully customizable for groups of all sizes, so you get a ready-made event designed to impact everyone involved.

What do students do?

1. Students LEARN the truth about global hunger and discover what God encourages us to strive towards.

2. We RAISE FUNDS to fight hunger (that’s where YOU come in).

3. We grow closer to God and each other as we FAST FOR 30 HOURS.

4. LIVES ARE CHANGED because of the money we’ve raised!
