It was a fun and exciting Homecoming Spirit Week at Canyonville Christian Academy! School spirit was at an all-time high as students, faculty, and staff set to cheer on their Pilots for the Homecoming basketball games. Throughout the week, students participated in several activities and won prizes for themselves and their classes (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior). The sophomore class won the class banner competition, while the seniors saw victory with their gym banner design. However, the class that won it all in Canyonville Christian Academy’s 2015 Spirit Week was the junior class!

Canyonville Christian Academy’s Homecoming games took place on Friday night with the Pilots facing off against the Bonanza Antlers. The whole school was in attendance to cheer them on as well as several alumni who returned for the exciting event. In the Boys’ Varsity game, the Pilots jumped out to an early lead and made a run at the Bonanza Antlers in the final quarter. However, CCA couldn’t catch their opponents in the closing minutes. The Pilot boys fell short by a score of 55-44, while the girls continue to look for their first win in league play.

During half time of the Boys’ Varsity Game, Canyonville Christian Academy’s 2015 Homecoming Court was presented and the Homecoming King and Queen were crowned. Congratulations to Canyonville Christian Academy’s 2015 Homecoming King and Queen: Ivan Sandrali and Mahli Beltran! 7 different countries represented this year’s Homecoming Court: Taiwan, Colombia, Rwanda, Mexico, South Korea, China, and the USA.

Finally, Canyonville Christian Academy’s Homecoming 2015 came to an end with roller skating Saturday night for the Homecoming Party and with a special Homecoming chapel Sunday morning.
