Lance Nutter, teacher, coach at Canyonville Christian Academy

Lance Nutter has played basketball since high school. Junior year his team went to the state playoffs in Alaska. In college, he was on the B league basketball team at the University of Alaska Juneau. This team won the championship with Lance averaging 22 points per game. Since then he has been on several league basketball teams.

He coached Special Olympics basketball from 1991-1996 and worked in the Parks and Recreation department in other sports related duties in Fairbanks Alaska. He has been the coach for Canyonville Academy’s girls’ basketball team for 2 years.

“I love sports and competition and hopes to keep coaching for many more years. I love to see people learn and grow – mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually from learning a sport.”
