Every year for the past few years, Canyonville Christian Academy has had an awesome time with the Iron Chef Competition. The boarding students signed up as teams to compete against each other to see who could cook up a 3 course meal using an unknown secret ingredient. This years secret ingredient was chocolate! The teams were equally given tables, cook stoves, utensils and $50 dollars to run to the super market for their ingredients.

They were given 2 hours to come up with the most creative and tasty 3 course meal they could prepare with the limited time and each course had to have chocolate in it. Our own Canyonville Christian Academy chefs were the judges for all the participants. Competition was tough as teams with culinary tastes from all over the world competed for the grand prize and title of Iron Chef. Mrs. Lovato and her Red Hot Chili Peppers Team were the winners as they presented a winning dish of Mexican móle. It was a fun night and has been a fun tradition to carry on each year.
