Canyonville Christian Academy’s Track Coach Cathy Lovato speaks highly of each member of this year’s track team.
“This year every week kid’s are PR’ing and 3 are currently ranked 1st in our district.”
She is no stranger to track as she loved the sport in her high school years. Her favorites: 4×100 and the 4×200. Cathy has been the assistant coach for the past two seasons with this year stepping into the head coach position. Assisting her this year is Matt Fowler.
The track team has been at various large meets here in Oregon such as the Prefontaine Classic held in Coos Bay, Oregon; the Coquille Twilight held in Coquille, Oregon and the Douglas County Ice-Breaker held in Glide, Oregon. The team has also been to the district meet in Klamath Falls, Oregon at OIT (Oregon Institute of Technology)

“Jessica Johns in Discus & Shotput is currently first in state. She has broke CCA’s school record in both! We only have a few seniors this year, but next year should be really strong!”
