Art Department
Basic Art: Basic Art gives students an introduction to a variety of art mediums. This class covers basic drawing, clay sculpture, scratch board, pastel drawing, wire sculpture, pen and ink, and colored pencil. Art students participate in CCA’s student art show.
Intermediate Art: This class covers more in depth art mediums, including pencil sketching, water color painting, scratch board, pastel drawing, clay sculpture, acrylic painting. Students learn to create original pieces of art, working from photos, set ups, and outside (on-site) work.
Those pursuing a career in graphic design, interior, fashion, industrial design, or gaming art will benefit greatly from this class. Art students participate in CCA’s student art show.
Advanced Art: This class covers further art techniques and styles, with an emphasis on original creations. Covering acrylic,oil, and watercolor painting, silk dye, basic color theory, and critiquing art.
Advanced students participate in several art competitions, such as Congressional Art Competition and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Art Festival.
Students pursuing a career in any art field will have a chance to study and be challenged in those specific areas of interest.

MUSIC:
Choir
The vocal department at CCA consists of Concert Choir. Prior experience in a choir is not a requirement to participate, although students should have a love for singing and should be prepared for hard work.
Students may also participate in the Winter or Spring Musicals as parts are available. The CCA Concert Choir performs two concerts each year, and has performed for special chapel services and public concerts.
The Concert Choir is directed by Mrs. Jami Burkhert
Worship Team
Worship Team is a leadership position, training and mentoring young people to work together musically, leading others in worship. The worship team ministers in song every Sunday throughout the school year and is invited to lead worship in nearby churches.
Worship Team includes:
- Working together for one purpose-Worship
- praying together
- leading
- playing skillfully
- vocal arrangement
- layering
- building the song correctly
- being sensitive to the flow of worship
- stage presence
- sound tech training
- visual tech training
