Compass Groups

On Sunday nights we have “compass groups”.  The groups are generally 10 – 12 students and are divided by gender.

The purpose of the group is to develop deeper relationships with each other as we learn more about God and our relationship with Him.

We strive to have a good time together as we do different activities, which include things like going to McDonalds, sitting by the stream and discussing what baptism is, or going on a walk up to the fish ladder and enjoying nature’s beauty.

Students also have the opportunity to ask questions that they may have thought about in their Bible classes or during the previous chapel service.  Many of the discussions are enriched by the diverse student body that we have at our school.  It is not uncommon to find kids from four different countries discussing a topic.  This makes for a very good discussion that challenges the students to look at things through a different lens.

There is also ample opportunity to challenge a different compass group to a game of dodgeball from time to time.

Compass groups are a place where we can come as we are and be real with each other and where all are accepted and appreciated!
