A Great Place for Today's Youth!
Our goal is to provide athletic opportunity for every student who has the desire to compete, and to help those individuals achieve their potential. CCA fields teams in cross country, soccer, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading and track, and is a member of the 280-school Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA). In past seasons, individuals and teams have won numerous league, district, and state honors. CROSS COUNTRY
CCA is the #1 Class 1A/2A ranked boys' program in Oregon since the inception of the sport according to the objective rankings published in Who's Who in Oregon Track.
The Pilot boys' have won their district championship meet 19 times and hold 5 state 1A records:
Most State Qualifing Teams - 28
Most Consecutive Years to State - 21
Most State Meet Trophies - 13
Lowest State Meet Score - 24
Most State Meet Individual Champions - 4
CCA's girls' are the top-ranked Class 1A team all-time in Oregon according to Who's Who in Oregon Track. The girls have been district team champions ten times and have a collection of six state trophies. In past seasons, the girls have been district meet champs four times!
Five different Pilots have been Oregon champions in this sport and CCA has won state team title four times. (All girls records include Oregon championship meets before OSAA sponsorship, 1970-1973).
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball is offered in the fall and our girls compete in the nine-team Mountain View Conference (2A).

BASKETBALL
Since 1983, CCA has advanced seven times to state tournament play (five boys', two girls') and captured six of the district championships. Below are pictured varsity boys, junior varsity boys and girls teams for the 2007-2008 year.



CHEERLEADING
From 1995 to 2004, CCA's varsity cheerleaders have achieved the #1 ranking among Oregon's Class 1A teams EVERY year in the OSAA sponsored state competition.
Did you know that for the 2006-2007 year, these girls had the highest GPA of ANY cheerleading team in the entire state of Oregon? They were awarded by the Dairy Association of Oregon. In the combined 1A/2A division, CCA has brought home state trophies in eight of the past eleven seasons.
CCA's rally squad have competed at the FCC Nationals (Orlando, Florida), travelling to Australia for exhibition performances, and participated at the Hula Bowl (college all-star football game, Honolulu, Hawaii).
TRACK & FIELD
CCA's coed track teams have a rich history spanning more than 50 years and are ranked

Since the current OSAA track classification standards were adopted in 1992, the Pilots have collected ten state meet trophies. Going back to 1970, CCA's athletes have won 70 individual and relay titles in state competition, including AAU and Oregon 1A/B wins before OSAA sponsorship.
CCA track & field teams have won 34 league championships (19 girls, 15 boys).
Six Pilots have been named "Oregon Athlete of the Year" by Who's Who in Oregon Track and a number of Canyonville athletes have gone on to compete at the national level in college track and the U.S. Olympic Trials.
CCA athletes currently hold 20 all-time state bests.
Girls: 100y, 100m (state meet record), 200m, 220y, 400m, 440y, 110y Hurdles, Long Jump, 880y Relay, 1600m Relay (state meet record), and Pentathlon.
Boys: 800m, 880y, Mile, Two-Mile, Shot Put, Mile Relay, Two-Mile Relay, Four-Mile Relay, and Distance Medley Relay.

CCA's impressive collection of trophies stretches back to the 1952 boys' basketball team. More than 30 state trophies and well over 100 total trophies are housed in the newly-constructed trophy cases built by alumni.
